These terms apply to private lessons, group classes, events and this website offered by Maplewood Music Studio in Chicago, Illinois. By enrolling or booking a trial you agree to them.
Trial lessons
Trial lessons are free, last 30 minutes and do not create an obligation to enroll. A trial request is not confirmed until we call or email you with a time.
Tuition and payment
Tuition is billed monthly on the first for four weekly lessons
Prices are listed in US dollars on the tuition page and may change with 30 days’ notice
First months are prorated from the date of the first weekly lesson
Group classes, workshops and camps are billed as listed on their pages
Changes and refunds
Lessons rescheduled at least 24 hours ahead receive a make-up lesson in the same month
Lessons missed without notice are not made up or refunded
If a teacher cannot teach, we reschedule or credit the lesson
You may pause for up to two months a year or leave with 30 days’ notice; unused prepaid months are refunded
Studio conduct
Students under 12 must be dropped off and picked up inside the studio by an adult. We ask all students and families to treat teachers, instruments and other students with care.
Recitals and media
Performing is always optional. Photos or recordings of students are shared only with written permission.
