Five steps
to December 12.

Most students who start by October play the Winter Recital. This is how the first month goes, from the form to the stage.

01

01

Book the free trial

Pick an instrument and a time on the form. Clara calls within one business day to confirm and asks what music you love.

02

02

Play with your teacher

The 30 minutes are a real lesson with the teacher you would keep. Parents sit in, and nobody needs to own an instrument yet.

03

03

Pick a weekly time

Same day, same room, same teacher every week. Tuition starts at $140 a month, billed on the first. The trial is never charged.

04

04

Practice from a written plan

Every lesson ends with three things to practice, sized for ten to twenty minutes a day. Parents get a copy by email.

Play the Winter Recital

Saturday, December 12 at the Logan Square Auditorium. It is always optional, and almost everyone says yes by November.

Clara Jensen taught out of her Logan Square apartment for ten years before opening Maplewood. Everyone she hired plays in a band, a choir, an orchestra or a pit.

“I was sixty-six and had never read a note. Daniel started me on one open string. Last May I played Simple Gifts at the spring recital, and my granddaughter cried.”
